In this webinar, state tax expert Michael Fleming will share how we perform economic nexus reviews, physical presence nexus reviews, and a combined economic/physical presence review. He will take you step by step though our process. At the end of this workshop you will have the knowledge to complete nexus reviews on your own.
Anyone who wishes to submit their client information or their own information is invited to do so one week in advance and we will use that data as we work through the different processes to complete an economic nexus review and a physical presence review. Either you or your client will have a completed nexus review at the end of the workshop. This offer is dependant on the number of requests we get.
We will also provide you with many of the tools we use for these reviews, like long form and short form nexus questionnaires, sample spreadsheets with required data formats for economic nexus reviews, charts for economic nexus, etc.
Key topics:
How can accountants provide this service with limited or even no prior sales tax experience?
What is included in a nexus review and what is not?
Why is software alone a poor solution?
How are nexus reviews priced?
How to choose the correct nexus review?
What should my deliverable be?
The rules for what creates nexus have changed dramatically. These changes can have an impact on anyone making sales into multiple states. It is not limited to companies that sell on the internet. Most accounting professionals have clients who now have a responsibility to register and collect tax in more states. In helping your clients understand where they have exposure your are protecting your clients, yourself, and can offer a new service at the same time. You will also earn 2 CPE credits.
